A Day Full of ONU Activities!

Picture this: it's a crisp Saturday morning, the sun is shining, and I'm up and ready to take on the day with my roommates. We had planned out a packed day to make the most of our Saturday off from racing. Our first order of business was a 4-mile run to loosen up our legs from the meet we had the night before at Cedarville. As we jogged along, we stumbled upon the Harvest and Herb Festival Parade and couldn't resist grabbing some candy to fuel us for the rest of our run. Sure, we were feeling a little sore, but we took it slow and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the parade. After our run and a quick pit stop at the parade, we headed back up to our apartment to refuel with some delicious breakfast of eggs and bacon. We took showers and then began the fun part of the day - finding the perfect fall outfits for the Harvest and Herb Festival. We were ready to go eat some fun foods and explore all the booths at the festival.

The Harvest and Herb Festival was an absolute blast! The event was packed with stands featuring everything from stunning jewelry and art to trendy clothing and chic home decor. Not to mention, there were plenty of children's toys, mouth-watering desserts, and delicious food options to choose from. I even treated myself to a refreshing Lemonade with boba popping bubbles. My roommates and I had a blast picking out matching bracelets and anklets, and I snagged a game day shirt from a trendy boutique booth. The weather was perfect: the sun was shining, the air was crisp, and it was still warm enough to enjoy the festivities. I also enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich and some cheesy potatoes which were so delicious. Overall, the festival was an incredible experience, and it was clear that everyone was thrilled to be soaking up the fall weather and all the exciting activities.

Later, we made our way to the ONU vs. Heidelberg Football game, eager to show our support for the polar bears. It was a highly anticipated match against one of our biggest rivals. To show our unity, we all dressed in black t-shirts and pants, creating a powerful blackout theme. Sitting alongside my teammates, we passionately cheered on the polar bears as they scored two touchdowns against Heidelburg. During a break, I decided to treat myself to some delicious popcorn from the concession stand, adding to the enjoyment of the game. Although the bears didn't emerge victorious in the end, we still managed to have a wonderful time together. It was still a great way to finish off our busy day full of fun activities.
