ONU Fall Break Filled with Fun

Ah, fall break - the perfect respite from the daily grind. My mind and body had been holding on for dear life, but finally, the week leading up to the break was over. And boy, was I ready for it! My fall break was a delightful mix of excitement and relaxation, and it all started on a crisp Saturday morning in October. I was headed back to my hometown of Delaware, Ohio, and I couldn't wait to see my family and my furry friends. I had been counting down the days all week, and I had planned out every moment of my break to ensure maximum relaxation. No busy schedules or hectic routines for me - this break was all about winding down and taking it easy. Although right off the bat my Saturday was jam-packed with fun activities, after that, I took it easy and enjoyed some much-needed relaxation. So, without further ado, let's dive into all the wonderful things I did during my fall break!

Saturday:

On Saturday, I helped my sister get ready for her senior year homecoming. I did her hair and makeup and took her homecoming group pictures. It was great! After that, my parents and I grabbed some food and watched a movie at home. I took a quick nap and then went to the Haunted Hoochie with my boyfriend and friends. It's a haunted attraction with a walk-through featuring scary scenes and people popping out at you with crazy makeup and costumes. There's also a 3-D clown maze with creepy clown fixtures and glowing colors. I was nervous, but it was so much fun! The only downside was the long line. It was a busy and fulfilling day spent with my favorite people. Now onto Sunday.

Sunday:

On Sunday, I woke up feeling exhausted from the previous day, so I knew it would be a great lazy day. And it definitely was. I went for a long run in one of my favorite parks. Afterwards, I watched three movies and relaxed with my dogs and sister. I also took the time to decorate my room with fall decorations, which I love doing. The best part was lighting the fall scented candles, they smell so good. For dinner, my family enjoyed a delicious steak salad and we indulged in some pumpkin cream cheese muffins that my sister made. It was a lovely day, filled with much-needed family time. Now onto Monday.

Monday:

On Monday, I had a recuperation day. I started with an easy morning run, followed by tackling the large amount of laundry I brought home from school. I also did some cleaning and reorganized my room's drawers to prepare for my grandma's visit next weekend. I spent quality time with my mom and took care of myself. My mom even gave me fresh highlights to get me ready for the fall season. Overall, it was a pleasant day. Now onto Tuesday.

Tuesday:

On Tuesday, I woke up early for a nine am haircut, which I was really excited about because I needed a fresh trim. After that, I went grocery shopping and then said goodbye to my mom and dogs at home. It was bittersweet because I enjoyed being home with my family, but I was ready to get back to my routine. I had an hour drive back to ONU and then had practice at three. I had enough time to put away my groceries and clothes before practice. It was a great way to end my fall break with a good workout and some yummy new food from my grocery trip.

I had an amazing fall break filled with fun times with family and friends, plenty of restful sleep, and lots of movies. It really got me in the mood for fall and gave me the energy to tackle the rest of this semester. I'm ready to take on whatever comes my way! As always, GO BEARS!
