Signing on for My Next Step After College: Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives
I’m excited to officially share some big news: I’ve signed on with Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives as a Social Media Specialist! After completing my degree in graphic design, I’ll be joining their communications department, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to continue my journey with a team I’m already familiar with.
This opportunity feels like the perfect next step in my career because I’ve had such a positive experience with Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives. During my internship, I had the chance to dive deep into content creation, social media strategy and graphic design. From managing campaigns to crafting messages that connect with people, I learned how vital communication is in shaping the way an organization interacts with its audience. Every project taught me something new, and I’m excited to bring those skills into my full-time role.
One highlight of my internship was working under an incredible mentor who not only guided me through complex projects but also challenged me to think creatively and strategically. Now, I’m lucky enough to step into a full-time position where I’ll continue working with that same person, who has been instrumental in my professional growth. It’s exciting to know I’ll be learning even more and contributing to a company I’ve grown passionate about.
The best part is that I’m transitioning into a job I already love. My time as an intern made me realize how much I enjoy the fast-paced, creative world of social media and communication. There’s something special about crafting messages that resonate with people and help drive positive change across the state. Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives plays a crucial role in supporting local communities and I’m proud to be part of a team that makes a difference.
Now, with graduation right around the corner, I’m filled with both excitement and nostalgia. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to my college days, but I’m ready for this new chapter. My degree in graphic design has given me a solid foundation, and I’m eager to apply everything I’ve learned in school and during my internship to this new role. I can’t wait to dive in, bring fresh ideas to the table and continue growing in a position that aligns with my passions.
Here’s to the next chapter, filled with new challenges, opportunities and a lot of excitement!
As always, GO BEARS!
