Live Tweeting at the Band-O-Rama

Image
To wrap up the Homecoming festivities I had the opportunity to attend the annual Band-O-Rama concert! The Ohio Northern Marching Band took center stage to showcase their fall program and left everyone in awe at the Freed Center Sunday evening. The concert was absolutely amazing! It began at 4 p.m. and before I knew it, it was already 5:45 p.m. I was completely mesmerized by the incredible performance! Plus, it gets even better! I got to be a part of it all by completing a live tweeting assignment that brought the concert to life through a series of captivating posts. I shared pictures, videos, and even added some awesome hashtags to make it all the more exciting. It's crazy how nervous I was at first, wondering how I could possibly capture the essence of this concert through words and pictures, but as soon as the event kicked off, I felt like a social media superstar, effortlessly translating the magic of the concert for all to see. The experience was an absolute delight and the mu

Time Trial Under the Lights

Image
Friday night, my cross country team and I participated in our annual time trial at Kerscher Stadium. This event serves as a way to build excitement for our upcoming conference race. We arrived at King Horn, all dressed up in fun costumes, with braided hair and smiles on our faces. The atmosphere was filled with high spirits as we enjoyed our late night practice and eagerly anticipated hitting the track for the first time this season. The time trial consisted of a women's heat and two men's heats, covering a distance of 2 miles. As we warmed up and stretched, we played music to pump ourselves up for the race ahead. It's important to note that this time trial was not meant to be a high-pressure race, but rather a chance for us to have fun and see what we could achieve as individuals. Prior to the race, I worked with my coach to develop a race strategy, aiming for a time of 13 minutes. Once we shed our warm-up gear, we were ready to begin. The gun fired and the women's hea

Speedy New York Cross Country Trip

Image
My cross country team and I competed at the Suny Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, New York. We drove up on Friday for the race on Saturday morning. The drive on Friday was very long - a six-hour bus ride with unpleasant smells, changing temperatures and uncomfortable seats. We stopped twice for food and then arrived at the course to do a pre-race run and familiarize ourselves with the course. After that, we went back to our hotel, excited for a big pasta team meal and some relaxation after the long bus ride. We had team meetings with our coach to discuss strategy and paces for both the men's and women's teams. Everyone was getting pumped up and excited for the race. We made sure to get a good night's sleep because race day was approaching quickly and we were all ready to give our best performance. Race day has arrived. I am prepared to run. The weather is cold and rainy, which will make for an exciting race! The course is flat, con

In this chapter, we explored various marketing strategies, LinkedIn pages, components, content and even the platform's response to Covid-19. I will focus on a few of these topics to fully understand the significance of LinkedIn in people's professional lives. LinkedIn is an expert in marketing strategies. Chapter 6: Marketing with X

Image
This chapter discusses the social media platform X and its potential for boosting businesses in the marketing world. Formerly known as Twitter, X is a platform where users can make posts with a maximum of four thousand characters. It enables users to share their passions, opinions, and stay updated with global news. X can be effectively used for marketing as it is an interactive platform that allows users to provide business feedback and establish their reputation by engaging with other X users.      Elon Musk purchased the Twitter platform for forty four billion dollars, aiming to create a space for more free commentary. As a result, X, the transformed version of Twitter, gained over one hundred eighty five million users after six years of development. However, Musk made significant changes to the app, including allowing banned users to return, altering the verification process, and laying off thousands of employees. This transformation had a profound impact on the marketing worl

Ohio Wesleyan Meet!

Image
On Friday, September twenty-ninth, we had a cross country meet in Powell, Ohio at Liberty Park, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. I happen to live just ten minutes away from this park, making it a familiar spot where I regularly complete my summer training. With its shaded woods, gravel path, soccer fields, and connection to a bike path that runs through Powell, it's an ideal location. Having run there before, I felt incredibly confident about the course, knowing every twist and turn like the back of my hand. Our race was scheduled for six forty-five in the evening, and as the night progressed, the temperature began to cool off. We took the time to stretch and warm up, fully prepared to execute the plans our coach had given us. These plans included a well-thought-out racing strategy, specific paces to maintain, and the ultimate goal of winning. We were determined and ready to conquer this race, fully expecting to emerge victorious.      The race kicked off with an explos
